A resumption of life for Bukavu

Bukavu, is an important city in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, located in the east, in the region of South Kivu, on the border with Rwanda.
In Bukavu lives about two million inhabitants and the most part are forced to live in hovels.
In fact, following the wars (from 1996 to 2003) that have hit the Congo and especially this region, leading to millions of deaths, the population of rural areas has found refuge in the city, putting a strain on the infrastructure. The roads are mostly on clay and are difficult to pass because of the holes and mud present for the better part of the year.
Due to the inefficiency of the administrative system of the entire nation and the ongoing political tensions, there are no local industries.
Moreover, the population has a very low standard of living and survives through occasional jobs.
The situation in the country is paradoxical, given that the Democratic Republic of the Congo is one of the richest countries in the world for mineral resources.
In fact, per capita income of $ 800.8 is among the lowest in the world and 77% of the population lives below the poverty line (data for 2016).
Nowadays the climate is particularly unstable, especially in the eastern provinces, due to the presence of armed bands, non-governmental militias, ex-military and tribal groups, which raid and raid with consequent massacres of civilians.
